Boxwood

My favorit material is boxwood because it takes really fine detail. It’s a very hard and dense wood. The color is light to dark yellow. It is from a very slow growing shrub or tree. I buy this wood from specialist wood suppliers as shown on the top left. But sometimes I get some branches from the gardens of friends, top right picture.

The most expensive piece of boxwood I ever bought. And reluctant to saw in pieces. This tree was 23 cm in diameter which is very wide for boxwood.
